I have recently completed work and handed over the keys to the updated Masters Athletics Western Australia (MAWA) website. It has moved from static HTML to the latest WordPress. The aim was to make updates easier for less technical users and allow multiple content updaters.
The site design has only minor differences to the HTML version. A revised front page & some clean up on the mark up used. There are a number of custom types and taxonomies used to best capture various types of event results and MAWA publications.
The Event Organiser plugin was pretty easy to set up, enter and display event information, including venues and Google maps.
It’s not the first time I have worked with MAWA. They were the first AMA T&F Championships host to use my online entry system back in 2010. They now use a modified version for their annual state championships.
